Eligibility

Fort Belvoir is open to active-duty service members assigned to a duty station in the Military District of Washington (MDW). Service members may apply for a position on the waitlist upon reporting to a duty station, by having orders in hand, or by submitting one or more of the following Additional Documents in lieu of official orders:

  • A copy of any official notification you may have from your receiving Command

  • ORB or ERB notification

  • Web orders

  • RFO

  • RIP

  • An email or memorandum advising you of your future MDW duty station

Note that you will need to submit a copy of your actual orders before a home can be assigned to you and the service member must provide proof of sign-in to gaining duty station before signing a lease for a home on Fort Belvoir.

There is no time limit on how early you may apply for a position on the waitlist.

How to Apply

We recommend downloading our Application Checklist to help you prepare for the housing application process.

When you're ready to apply, you will need to download and complete our PDF housing application. You'll then email the completed Application for Housing and all necessary documents to villagesatbelvoir@tmo.com.

Please note that if all required documents cannot be submitted along with the application, they can be submitted at a later date. To receive a place on our waitlist, the entire application must be completed and signed by the service member.

  • A copy of your orders and all received amendments

  • A copy of your proof of dependents. Options Include:

    • Dependent(s) listed by name(s) on military orders

    • AKO/MilConnect dependent printout

    • TRICARE printout

    • Copy of most recent DD Form 1172 or 1172-2 (DEERS Enrollment)

    • NAVPERS 1070 Form/Page 2

    • NAVCMC Form 10922 (Dependency Application 1751)

    • BAH Dependency Data

  • A copy of your most recent LES

  • A copy of your Power of Attorney (if your spouse will be signing for the home)

  • Final out-stamped clearing papers (once cleared of current post) or DA 31 (if not clearing an installation)

    Once we have received and verified your information you will be placed on our waitlist. We look forward to welcoming you home!
